CHANGING IT PROVIDERS

Below is a list of things you need to do in order to:

Own your own:

You will need to make sure you have all control over our intellectual property and assets. We have seen where company’s find that their IT provider was the actual owner of their domain name, email service, website, and more. It is our recommendation that you have your IT provider sign over all rights to your intellectual property as soon as possible.

Domain Name Host:

If you own your own domain name, you will need to make sure you have your login credentials. With this you can control your email setting and where your website resides.

Web site:

With your login credentials, you can make changes to your website.

Email Host:

Make sure your current IT solution provider does not have any control of your email. You will need your login credentials to control your email and anti-spam settings.

List of assets and account credentials:

You will need a list of your assets such as your servers, routers, switches, access points, workstations, laptops and more from your IT provider. You will need to get a network map of how all these connect. Also, get a list of usernames and passwords. This will include system admin and both local machine and the domain if you have a domain.

Meeting IT Headquarter Staff:

By talking to the members of your staff who are involved with your IT or that has roles that mainly deal with your IT, we can better understand what your company needs to run successfully.

Survey your Site:

Our team members will come out to your location to look at and discuss your equipment. This may include what your business needs or wants to help make your IT systems more reliable.
